The Dallas Mavericks fell 105-98 to the Boston Celtics on Thursday night, dropping Game 2 of their second-round playoff series and giving the Celtics a 2-0 lead. Despite a strong start from Luka Doncic, who finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists, the Mavericks struggled to keep pace with the Celtics in the second half. Boston took a 10-point lead in the third quarter and held on for the victory. Kyrie Irving led the Celtics with 29 points, including a key layup late in the game that forced a Dallas timeout. Jayson Tatum added 21 points for Boston, while Marcus Smart scored 19 points.
